Audiobook Demos
Lesley Isles is the pseudonym of narrator and performing artist, Katherine McClain, who has been devouring books since she first learned her letters. From the beginning, this pint-sized powerhouse missed her bedtime for just one more chapter. Now she needs corrective lenses as her exasperated parents warned would happen, but she is sure it had nothing to do with heredity and everything to do with reading in the closet when she should be asleep.
While Katherine enjoys narrating nonfiction, like women’s history, self-help, and religion, Lesley Isles lives for tales of fantasy, science fiction, romance, mystery, comedy, young adult, middle grade, and all forms of fiction. She loves stories with strong female characters, poignancy, and humor.
A Louisiana native now based in Los Angeles, Katherine has also called the DMV, New York City, Boston, and Germany home. Along the way, she developed a love of accents and character voices that naturally complements her background in theatre, music, film, and voice-over. Her years as a professional artist have shaped a versatile approach to narration—one grounded in authenticity, dynamism, and a deep respect for the story being told.
When not in the booth, she is sitting under her lap cat, Ophelia, drinking a mug of loose leaf tea, and listening for the next thunderstorm.
